This is a great product - easy set up, portrait buttons function perfectly, batteries charged with OEM charger and work very well. A great way to save significant cash over the over-priced Canon version.

And guess what? I won.
The grip looks, feels, and performs like a dream. It adds great weight to the T2i and all the buttons work and feel great.
Unless you feel like paying $100 more for five letters, buy this. Now. You won't be sorry.

Battery grip Dead On Arrival, complete DUD!August 24, 2010 psycho magnet The Battery Grip BG-E8 for my 550D arrived apparently not tested by original manufacturer or New Harbor vendor. The aftermarket batteries included do work but the grip is completely useless with the canon batteries or the AA batteries. I have contacted the vendor New Harbor and await reply. I will hold my review on the vendor until I see how long it takes for the resolution on my very disappointing purchase. The product rates a 1 only because the batteries worked, otherwise this product would rate a complete 0.
